Hello, World!

My name is Alj Augustine.

I am a freelance writer and editor, aspiring author, podcaster, crafter, and all-around content creator. And as you can imagine from that descriptor, I’m also very tired and ready for my big break to happen!

When it comes to my writing skills, I have over 10+ years of experience as an online entertainment editor and lifestyle writer across many outlets including by not limited to Girl’s Life Magazine, Wetpaint Entertainment, InStyle Wedding, and SYFY. While I love to write features on the newest colonial-fantasy TV show, I’ve found it equally fulfilling to provide advice to girls and young women in their journey.

Though I do love to write and entertainment and lifestyle, I’m also known to use I use my powers of wordsmithing for other creative endeavors. I love to write poetry and fiction, and am currently working on a novel or two. The process is a struggle, but I’ll be using this blog to keep me going.

Lastly, to touch on the other titles in my name, I’m a crafter of general crafts and custom jewelry. In my spare team, I even sell some of my pieces on my online boutique, Pretty Poet Ink.

In the moments when I’m not crafting, I’m also chatting about the perils of being an adult on my podcast, Adult-ish, which you can find on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Google Play, and other streaming platforms.
